The Networking and Protocols research team works in two related areas.

- In the first area, Routing and Control, we study routing and packet switching in Internet type networks, and the control of these operations: multicast routing, congestion control for multicast, load balancing and restoration using multipath routing. File:Exemple.jpg

- In the second area Mobility and Wireless Networks, we work on improving protocols for a seamless mobility, for example using contextual information such as location to speed up handovers. We are also interested in special mechanisms for mobile embedded environments (sensor networks, mobile routers and networks).

- These two areas have several common points, including a common IPv6 environment, the convergence of the multicast service with mobility and wireless, and finally the study of realistic network models to evaluate protocols (topology models, mobility models).
